We just got back from our trip and wanted to say “Asante!” as the trip was AMAZING!!!
We cannot thank you enough for taking the time to walk us through the trip planning process, information on required gear, and what to expect on Kilimanjaro. It certainly was appreciated when we hit the summit with negative wind chills and 40mph winds but felt completely warm in our gear.
The food was beyond expectations (who knew you could eat so well on a mountain) and the camp staff and guides were professional yet entertaining. Our head guide Gabe and our assistant guides Sunday and Wilbard went out of their way to ensure a smooth trip. In fact, we could not have overcome the harsh weather conditions the last day and reached the summit without them!
We encountered a few different outfits on our climb. The differences between what Thomson provided compared to the others was not only visible to all, but enviable as well to the other climbers outside of our group. Just the fact of how your firm treated and supplied gear to our porters made the other firms pale in comparison.
This was our best vacation yet! We will certainly be recommending Thomson to all of our friends.
