I HAVE NEVER MET SUCH HARDWORKING PEOPLE IN MY LIFE
We climbed Kili in July and I was amazed at how many porters it took to get us to the top. I have never met such hardworking people in my life. It truly took an army to get our group to the top and we were thankful for each and every one of them.
Every day as we neared the end of that day's climb, we would get very excited to see our camp in the distance and even more excited to see a group of porters coming down from camp to greet us. We loved our welcoming committee and I was especially grateful for Frederick who came down each day and met me and carried my backpack the final distance into camp. Seeing Frederick coming down the mountain looking for me put such a smile on my face each day. Seeing Frederick always boosted my morale exactly when I needed it most.
